The most important way to ensure we get there is to keep the passion alive. The best part about a team that enjoys what they do is that the work becomes a lot more easier and when a mammoth task is ahead of you, the process doesn't feel slow, there's no drudgery. One of our aims in this phase is to encourage our participants to express themselves and do so in whatever language they feel comfortable. With a bright and early start to the day, we hit the road by 7. Breakfast would have to be along the way, we needed to get to our first workshop by 9:30 and it was a little far from where we were staying. A long day of work was ahead of us. Vikram was the star trainer of the day and with several tricks up his leave, he captivated the audience's attention and we had yet another day of successful workshops. After a long 34 hour, back breaking drive all the way from Delhi to Chennai, tired and hungry, we finally arrived. But, social change soldiers don't have the luxury of time to chill so we grabbed a bite and called it a night. We had a mammoth task ahead of us and so, charged and pumped we took day 1 head-on with buzzing energy. The students at Alpha Arts & Science College were patient, enthusiastic and good listeners. Amitabh, our captain, effectively cast the spell of his charm on the students and the first workshop was a success.
